| 'Mix everything except Oreos. This makes the batter. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Dip oreo in batter- don''t be stingy make sure that it is well coated, especially where your fingers are on the oreos. Drop carefully in oil- if it splashes you could get very hot oil on yourself, so be gentle. Fry till golden brown on both sides, flipping over once. It only takes a minute, so be ready to pull them out. Make in batches until you''ve used up all of your oreos,or when you think the group can't handle any more of the yummy cookies. BE CAREFUL- from someone who''s been there- the middles become molten lava hot! Restrain yourself and wait a few minutes before biting in. We have yet to find anyone who doesn't like these. Some recipes suggest sprinkling with powdered sugar, but honestly that's overkill. We have also served them with jam, but again, they're wonderful by themselves!' |
